Flag Fireplace Bunting {Scrap Project}

"Patriotism consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong."

When I was making the Sew Flag block from Sew Scrappy Spools Quilt Along,

 I instantly knew I wanted to make a flag bunting and decided to use all scraps that I had to make the blocks.

I had fun using both navy and teal/aqua “star” squares.

I used some blue solid stash, right sides together.

 I made a red binding to hang and then topstitched around the blocks.

I think they turned out really cute!

It certainly makes for a good background for the holidays.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Fourth of July like our sweet pup!

  1. Great project! Love the idea of using up scraps to create patriotic decor. This flag fireplace bunting would be perfect for holidays! Imagine crafting this while relaxing and solving a challenging Wordle Unlimited game. It's a fun, rewarding activity that adds a personal touch to your home. Thanks for sharing the inspiration!

  2. That sounds like a beautiful project! I love the combination of navy and teal/aqua. The red binding must really make the colors pop. I'm imagining a vibrant, eye-catching piece. It's inspiring me to get creative with some fabric scraps. By the way, if you're looking for another fun way to engage with stars and competition, you should check out the Basketball Stars platform. It's quite addictive!
